CRYSTAL DROP NECKLACE

Use size 11 seed beads, 3mm fire-polished beads and 6mm beads (bicone, round or fire-polished) to create this pretty necklace (picture at left). Also included is a variation of the necklace that uses fewer beads and connects to chain (picture at bottom middle). In December 2020, I updated this pattern to include instructions for adding a top-drilled briolette or pendant center drop bead (picture at top middle), as well as a “super-sized” necklace version using 8/0 seed beads, 4mm fire-polished beads and 8mm beads (bicone, round or fire-polished) for a larger, less delicate version (picture at right).

Stitch: Right-angle weave

Beads Used: For the original version: Size 11 seed beads, 3mm fire-polished beads, 6mm bicone crystals (or any size 6mm bead) and an optional top-drilled briolette or pendant. For the super-sized version: Size 8 seed beads, 4mm fire-polished beads, 8mm beads (bicone, round or fire-polished) and an optional top-drilled briolette or pendant.

Approx Finished Size: Original version: About a half-inch wide to desired length. Super-sized version: About .75 inches wide to desired length.
