SATURDAY NIGHT BRACELET

Saturday Night Bracelet, free design

MATERIALS (for a 7-inch bracelet, not including clasp)
• 3 yards of 6 lb. FireLine
• About 200 size 11/0 seed beads
• About 36 size 4mm Color1 beads (can be any size 4mm bead type—bicone crystals, fire-polished beads, round beads, glass pearls, etc.)
• About 88 size 4mm Color2 beads (can be any size 4mm bead type—bicone crystals, fire-polished beads, round beads, glass pearls, etc.)
• clasp

Beads used in the photos above:

Top (pink):
• About 200 size 11/0 seed beads: Czech #27000 Crystal Full Labrador
• About 36 size 4mm round beads: Pearl Coat - Fiesta Pearl Colors - Hollyhock
• About 88 size 4mm bicone crystals: Swarovski Fuchsia AB2X (discontinued but Preciosa Fuchsia 2AB would work great as a substitute)

Bottom (turquoise):
• About 200 size 11/0 seed beads: Miyuki #1052 Galvanized Gold
• About 36 size 4mm bicone crystals: Swarovski Light Turquoise AB2X (discontinued but Preciosa Aqua Bohemica 2AB would work great as a substitute)
• About 88 size 4mm fire-polished beads: Mineral Mosaic Turquoise

Step 1: Thread your needle with a length of FireLine that you feel comfortable working with and add more as you need it.

String a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color1 bead, a seed bead, a Color1 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Leaving about a 12-inch tail for attaching one end of the clasp, tie the beads in a circle with a double knot:

Step 2: Go back around through the Color2 bead, the seed bead, the Color1 bead and the seed bead that you added in the last step (highlighted in RED):

Step 3: String a Color1 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead and a Color1 bead.

Go around and back down through the seed bead that you exited at the end of the last step (highlighted in RED):

Go back around through the beads that you just added (highlighted in RED) to give your bracelet some extra strength:

Step 4: Go down through the Color1 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 5: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and up through the Color1 bead, the seed bead and the Color1 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 6: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and down through the Color1 bead, the seed bead beneath and the Color1 bead highlighted in RED.

Continue on up through the seed bead, the Color2 bead and the seed bead highlighted in RED:

Step 7: String a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color1 bead, a seed bead, a Color1 bead, a seed bead and a Color2 bead.

Go around and back up through the seed bead that you exited at the end of the last step (highlighted in RED):

Go back around through the beads that you just added (highlighted in RED) to give your bracelet some extra strength:

Step 8: Go up through the Color2 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 9: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and down through the Color2 bead, the seed bead and the Color2 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 10: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and up through the Color2 bead, the seed bead above and the Color2 bead highlighted in RED.

Continue on down through the seed bead, the Color1 bead and the seed bead highlighted in RED:

Step 11: String a Color1 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead and a Color1 bead.

Go around and back down through the seed bead that you exited at the end of the last step (highlighted in RED):

Go back around through the beads that you just added (highlighted in RED) to give your bracelet some extra strength:

Step 12: Go down through the Color1 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 13: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and up through the Color1 bead, the seed bead and the Color1 bead highlighted in RED:

Step 14: String a seed bead, a Color2 bead, a seed bead, a Color2 bead and a seed bead.

Go around and down through the Color1 bead, the seed bead beneath and the Color1 bead highlighted in RED.

Continue on up through the seed bead, the Color2 bead and the seed bead highlighted in RED:

Step 15: Repeat Steps 7 to 14 until your bracelet is the length you want it, minus about a half-inch and the length of your clasp:

Step 16: To attach one end of the clasp, string three seed beads.

Go through the clasp and then back through the third seed bead that you just strung:

NOTE: If you want to make your bracelet a bit longer, just add more seed beads in this step and in Step 17.

Step 17: String two more seed beads and go back through the seed bead you exited at the end of Step 15 (highlighted in RED):

Go back around through these seed beads and the clasp several times to reinforce your connection to the clasp.

Weave your way back into the bracelet, knot in several places and then cut your thread.

To attach the clasp to the other end of the bracelet, simply thread your needle with the tail from Step 1 and repeat Steps 16 and 17.
