CZECHMATES BRICK PENDANT

Materials:

• Two yards of 6 lb. FireLine
• 21 size 11/0 seed beads. I used Miyuki #457 Bronze.
• 6 Color1 Czechmates Brick bead. I used Persian Turquoise Picasso.
• 6 Color2 Czechmates Brick beads. I used Persian Turquoise.
• 5 drop beads—either Rizo, Miyuki 3.4mm drop beads or Toho 3mm Magatama beads. I used Bronze Miyuki 3.4mm drop beads (left) and Jade Rizo beads (right).
• 12 size 4mm beads—round, glass pearl, gemstone, bicone crystal or fire-polished. I used Opaque Turquoise Picasso fire-polished beads.
• a size 4mm closed jump ring
• a 16- or 18-inch chain, or satin, silk or leather cord, with clasp

NOTE I use Brick beads of two different colors (Color1 and Color2) because it makes it easier when writing up the instructions but you can use all one color. In addition, you can use any size 4mm bead because it’s the size that is important, not the bead type.

Step 1: Thread your needle with a yard of FireLine.

Leaving about a 6-inch tail, string a Color1 Brick bead, a seed bead, a Color1 Brick bead, a seed bead, a Color1 Brick bead, a seed bead, a Color1 Brick bead, a seed bead, a Color1 Brick bead, a seed bead, a Color1 Brick bead and a seed bead. Tie the beads together with a double knot:

Step 2: Go back around through the beads that you strung in the first step, grab the tail thread and tie another knot:

Step 3: Go back around through the inside hole of the Color1 Brick bead, the seed bead and the inside hole of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 4: Go around and through the outside hole of the same Color1 Brick bead that you exited at the end of the last step (highlighted in RED):

Step 5: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 6: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 7: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 8: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 9: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 10: String a seed bead, a Color2 Brick bead and a seed bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color1 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 11: Go back around through the seed beads, the inside hole of the Color2 Brick beads and the outside hole of the Color1 Brick beads highlighted in RED:

Step 12: Go back through the seed bead and the inside hole of the two Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 13: Go around and through the outside hole of the same Color2 Brick bead that you exited at the end of the last step (highlighted in RED):

Step 14: String a 4mm bead, a drop bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 15: String a 4mm bead, a drop bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 16: String a 4mm bead, a drop bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 17: String a 4mm bead and two seed beads. Go through the jump ring and then back down through the last seed bead that you just strung:

Step 18: String a seed bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 19: String a 4mm bead, a drop bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 20: String a 4mm bead, a drop bead and a 4mm bead. Go through the outside hole
of the Color2 Brick bead highlighted in RED:

Step 21: Go back around through the outer ring of beads highlighted in RED and the jump ring at least twice:

Weave your way back into your pendant, knot and cut your thread. Repeat for tail thread from Step 1. Pass your necklace chain or cord through the jump ring and attach a clasp:
